NICEVILLE, Fla. (January 4, 2014) – FCSAA No. 5/NJCAA No. 18 Northwest Florida State College jumped out to a 45-29 halftime lead and cruised to an 82-52 win over FCSAA No. 7 Tallahassee Community College on Saturday evening in the Panhandle Conference opener for both teams.
Tallahassee falls to .500 with the loss at 9-9 (0-1 Panhandle Conference) while the Raiders improve to 14-2 (1-0), winning for the eleventh straight time against the Eagles.
Tyeshia Guinnie continued her strong play of late for Tallahassee and led the Eagles in scoring with 21 points. Addesha Collins added 10.
Tallahassee will play its PC home opener against Pensacola State College on Tuesday. Tip is at 5:30 p.m.
