Collins’ 25 leads Eagles to road win at Pensacola State

PENSACOLA, Fla. (January 25, 2014) – FCSAA No. 6 Tallahassee Community College outscored No. 9 Pensacola State College in the second half, 39-26, and defeated the Pirates, 66-53, on Saturday evening in Panhandle Conference women's basketball action. 

Addesha Collins scored 17 of her game-high 25 points after the break to help the Eagles pull away from a 27-all tie at the half and pick up their fifth straight win against Pensacola State. 

Tallahassee is now 11-12 overall and 2-4 in PC play, just one-half game behind third place Gulf Coast State College (2-3). Those two teams meet in Tallahassee on Tuesday evening. 

Pensacola State fell to 10-13 (0-6). 

On Saturday, Tallahassee led throughout but didn't take control of the game until a 17-8 run midway through the second half gave the Eagles a 54-43 lead. 

The Eagles played with only six players on Saturday – all six scored, including three in double-figures. 

In addition to Collins, Tyeshia Guinnie scored 13 and Jasmine Queen, 10.
