MARIANNA, Fla. (November 9, 2013) – FCSAA No. 7 Tallahassee Community College won its second straight nail-biter on Saturday, defeating No. 9 Santa Fe College, 73-71, to complete a sweep of its two games at the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report Classic, hosted by Chipola College.

On Friday, the Eagles hung on to upset NJCAA No. 10 Darton (Ga.) State College, 75-72. Today's game was decided on Tallahassee's final possession.

Addesha Collins, who scored a career-high 27 points against Darton State, connected on a pair of free throws with 3.1 seconds remaining to break a 71-all tie and give the Eagles the win in the first of three meetings with the Saints, all of which will take place in the next four weeks.

Collins finished with 26 points on 10-of-17 shooting to lead the Eagles. Tyeshia Guinnie added 15 while Jasmine Queen and Marija Pacar scored 10 points each.

Tallahassee will travel to Santa Fe on November 22 then return to Gainesville, Fla., and face the Saints on December 7 as part of the Florida College's Women's Basketball Shootout.

Tallahassee, now 3-1 under first-year head coach Franqua "Q" Bedell, will continue a tough opening slate when it hosts Florida State College at Jacksonville at 4 p.m. Monday in the 2013 Veterans Day Classic.

The game will mark the home debut for Bedell.
