Women’s Basketball presents the 2013 Veterans Day Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 6, 2013) – In celebration of Veterans Day, the Tallahassee Community College’s women’s basketball team will play its home opener against Florida State College at Jacksonville in the 2013 Veterans Day Classic.

The game will be held on Monday, November 11, at 4 p.m. in the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

General admission is $3 and all proceeds from ticket sales will support the College’s HERO Scholarship, which is designed to help student veterans who have overcome heroic odds pay for their college education.

The Veterans Day Classic will celebrate the contributions of TCC’s veterans by honoring them at various times during the game. Prior to the start of the game, a student veteran will present the game ball to the officials. Two student veterans will also serve as honorary coaches for head coach Franqua “Q” Bedell, who will be making his home debut for the Eagles.

There will be pizza and soft drinks following the game for all veterans and their family members.
