TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 3, 2015) – The Tallahassee Community College Eagles suffered their second straight loss, falling to Panhandle Conference rival Chipola College 63-48 on Tuesday night in women's basketball action.

Both the Eagles and Indians struggled from the floor early on.  Eventually, both teams began to find a rhythm and Chipola took a 30-19 lead to the locker room. The 19 points was Tallahassee's fewest first-half point total of the season.

After halftime, the Eagles came out and started firing on all cylinders. Tallahassee pulled within a point when Karley Barnes scored off a Chipola turnover.

With the score 45-44, in favor of Chipola, the Eagles had a chance to take the lead with 6:01 left to play in the game but Cat Wells missed the front end of a one-and-one.

After the miss Chipola went on a seven-point run and the Eagles were never able to recover.

Barnes and Wells both scored in double figures.  Barnes recorded 12 points while Wells led the team with 14.

Barnes, Wendion Bibbins, and Jeremica Edwards all pulled down eight rebounds.

The Eagles will be in action again Saturday, February 7 against Northwest Florida State College. The game tips at 5:30 p.m. at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.
