Eagle women move into top ten

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 14, 2015) – Tallahassee Community College continued to climb in the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Poll, this week earning a No. 10 ranking. 

Tallahassee moved up one spot after being ranked No. 11 last week. 

The Eagles are one of three Panhandle Conference schools in the top ten, joining top-ranked Chipola College and No. 5 Northwest Florida State College. A fourth PC school, Gulf Coast State College, is ranked No. 20, and two other Region 8 schools made the poll – No. 13 Florida State College at Jacksonville and No. 24 College of Central Florida. 

The Eagles currently have four wins against teams in the NJCAA poll – Northwest Florida State, No. 11 Walters (Tenn.) State Community College, Gulf Coast State and Central Florida. 

In the men’s poll, Tallahassee is unranked for a second straight week but again received votes.
