Eagle women continue run in NJCAA DI WBK Poll
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 29, 2015) – As the 2014-15 season nears the home stretch and talk of March Madness commences, Tallahassee Community College’s women’s basketball remains in the upper half of the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Poll.
The Eagles came in at No. 13 in the latest poll, released on Wednesday. Tallahassee dropped one spot from last week after a 1-1 week. The Eagles lost to No. 4 Northwest Florida State College on January 21 then defeated Pensacola State College on January 24.
Tallahassee is one of three Panhandle Conference schools and five total from Region 8 in the poll. Chipola College is the highest ranked school at No. 3 followed by No. 4 Northwest Florida State.
Florida State College at Jacksonville is 15th and the College of Central Florida, 17th.
At 19-5, the Eagles’ resume includes wins over Northwest Florida State, No. 9 Walters (Tenn.) State Community College and Central Florida.
Tallahassee’s next two games are against Chipola (Tuesday, February 3) and Northwest Florida State (Saturday, February 7).
NOTE: Wednesday’s game at Gulf Coast State College is not reflected in this week’s poll.
