#TCCBasketball: Eagle women roll to sixth win

ATHENS, Texas (November 24, 2017) – NJCAA No. 7/Region 8 No. 2 Tallahassee Community College remained undefeated with a 92-60 win over McLennan (Texas) Community College on day one action at the Budke/Serna Classic, hosted by Trinity Valley (Texas) Community College. 

The Eagles will carry a 6-0 record into Saturday's 11 a.m. tilt against Cisco (Texas) College. McLennan is now 6-3 on the season. 

Tallahassee hit six three-pointers in the first quarter, including four by Jas Hill, en route to a 29-17 lead and was never seriously threatened on Friday. 

The Eagles were even more dominant in the second quarter. 

Japonica James scored 13 points in the quarter as Tallahassee outscored the Highlassies 30-7 and led 59-24 at the half. 

Tallahassee had its lowest-scoring quarter of the season in the third, converting on only one field goal while being outscored 23-6. Still, the Eagles led 65-47 and outscored McLennan 27-13 in the fourth. 

Hill and James scored 17 points each to lead a quartet of Eagles in double-figures. 

Ayanna Mazyck and Mari Hill had 12 points each in the win.
