#TCCBasketball: Eagles march past ASA Miami in Shootout

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (December 2, 2017) – NJCAA No. 7/Region 8 No. 2 Tallahassee Community College remained unbeaten with a 120-44 win over ASA College Miami on day two action of the Florida College's Women's Basketball Shootout. 

Tallahassee improved to 9-0 with the win. 

The Eagles led 26-13 after one quarter then nearly pitched a shutout in the second, outscoring the Silver Storm, 38-3. 

Tallahassee scored the final 31 points of the quarter and led 64-16 at the intermission. 

The third quarter was more of the same as the Eagles outscored ASA 30-7 for a 94-23 lead. 

Tallahassee hit the century mark on Japonica James' layup at the 8:26 mark, and Dawn Gipson's basket with 1:07 remaining finished the scoring – the fourth 120-point game of the season for the Eagles, who are averaging exactly 100.0 points per game after today's output. 

Six players scored in double-figures for Tallahassee, led by Jas Hill's 19. James finished with 18. 

Juliunn Redmond added 15, Nakiah Black had 14 and Jamyra McChristine 12. 

Tallahassee will return to action on Saturday, December 9 when it hosts St. Petersburg College. Game time will be 2 p.m.
