#TCCBasketball: Eagle women continue to roll vs. FSCJ

MARIANNA, Fla. (December 7, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's women's basketball team won a school-record 16th straight game on Friday, defeating Florida State College-Jacksonville 102-43 in Friday action at the Chipola College Classic. 

The Eagles' current winning streak began in March at the NJCAA Tournament where they won five straight games to capture their first national championship. With tonight's win, NJCAA No. 3/Region 8 No. 2 Tallahassee is now 11-0 this season. 

Tonight was also Tallahassee's fourth straight game eclipsing 100 points, another school record. The Eagles are averaging 103.5 points over their last four games and have topped the 100-point mark five times in its last six games and eight times overall this season, tying yet another single-season mark. 

All 12 players who dressed on Friday scored for Tallahassee, led by Juliunn Redmond's 24. 

Jada Perry had a double-double, 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Daisha Bradford tossed in 14 points. 

Both teams struggled to find any offensive rhythm in the opening quarter. After Perry scored the first three points of the game, Tallahassee went scoreless for more than four minutes and found itself trailing by as many as five. The tables turned in the final four minutes, however, as the Eagles closed on an 8-0 run and led 11-8 after one – the 11^th time they have allowed single-digits in a quarter this season. 

Tallahassee took control of the game in the second quarter. The Eagles forced 11 of the Blue Wave's 42 turnovers en route to a 43-point quarter. Eighteen unanswered points midway through the quarter, capped by Perry's three-point play, pushed Tallahassee's lead to 42-15 with 3:28 left. 

The Eagles ended the quarter on a 12-0 run and led 54-19 at the half. 

Tallahassee doubled up FSCJ in the second half, outscoring the Blue Wave, 48-24, and led by as many as 60 in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. 

Tallahassee will return to Marianna on Saturday for a 1 p.m. eastern tilt against Central Georgia Technical College.
