#TCCBasketball: Juliunn Redmond named FCSAA Player of the Year

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 9, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's Juliunn Redmond has been named the FCSAA Women's Basketball Player of the Year.

The FCSAA Player of the Year, selected by the FCSAA Women's Basketball Committee, was announced on Saturday following the FCSAA State Championship Game in Ocala, Fla.

Redmond is just the second Tallahassee player to win the award, joining Lawriell Wilson who received Player of the Year honors in 2017.

As player of the year, Redmond also led the 12-member FCSAA All-State team.

A sophomore guard from Chicago, Ill., Redmond played a key role in Tallahassee's run to the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship in 2018. She elevated her game even more as a sophomore, averaging 18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the free throw line – all while playing a team-high 30 minutes per game.

She was previously named the Panhandle Conference Player of the Year and voted first-team All-PC.
