#TCCBasketball: Redmond, Bradford earn WBCA All-America honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 27, 2019) – Panhandle Conference Player of the Year – check. FCSAA State Player of the Year – check. Now, Juliunn Redmond is an All-American. 

Redmond, Tallahassee Community College's sophomore standout, has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Two-Year College Coaches' All-America team. 

Teammate Daisha Bradford received All-America honorable mention from the WBCA. 

Earlier this month, Redmond, a native of Chicago, Ill., was named the FCSAA State Player of the Year, becoming just the second Tallahassee player to win the award, joining Lawriell Wilson (2017). Last month, she was named the Panhandle Conference Player of the Year and voted first-team All-PC. 

Redmond played a key role in Tallahassee's run to the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship in 2018. She elevated her game even more as a sophomore, averaging 18.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the free throw line – all while playing a team-high 30 minutes per game. 

Bradford, a freshman from Mobile, Ala., was named first-team All-PC after a stellar rookie campaign. She led the Eagles in scoring at 17.2 points per game and also averaged 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 29 games.
