Stepping Stones: Jamyra McChristine, Indiana State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (August 23, 2019)—Tallahassee Community College women's basketball standout Jamyra McChristine has signed a national letter of intent with Indiana State University. 

McChristine, who is from Chicago, Ill., played two seasons at Tallahassee (2017-19) under former head coach Franqua "Q" Bedell. 

As a freshman, she started 28 games and appeared in 33 overall, averaging 7.8 points and 7.3 rebounds. She also played a key role in the Eagles' run to the 2018 national championship, posting 10.4 points and shooting 62.9 percent from the floor in five games en route to earning NJCAA All-Tournament Team honors. 

This past season, McChristine averaged 10.2 points and 7.3 rebounds in 23 games and was named Second-team All-Panhandle Conference. 

Located in Terre Haute, Ind., the NCAA Division I Sycamores compete in the Missouri Valley Conference.
