Eagles rebound with victory over Snow at Courtyard Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 22, 2019) – Polina Nikulochkina scored 18 points and Rita James added 16 in Tallahassee Community College's 63-34 win over Snow (Utah) College in Friday action at the Courtyard Tallahassee Downtown/Capitol Classic. 

The Eagles, who successfully rebounded from Thursday's loss to the College of Central Florida, improved to 6-2. 

Defense was the story on Friday for Tallahassee, who held Snow to just 20.0 percent (5-of-25) shooting the first half and allowed six points in each of the first two quarters en route to a 26-12 halftime lead. 

The Eagles led 46-23 after three and extended their lead to as many as 31 during the fourth quarter. 

Nikulochkina added four rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block to her stat line while James knocked down 4-of-6 shots from long distance en route to her season-high in points. 

In Friday's first women's game at the Classic, Northwest Florida State College defeated Central Florida, 88-46.

Tallahassee will return to action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. game at Jones (Miss.) College.
