Rise and Shine: #TCCWXC returns to the trail
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 24, 2016) - Tallahassee Community College's women's cross country team will compete in its second event of the season on Saturday morning - the Prefontaine Forest Run 5K, an event hosted by Gulf Winds Track Club.
The 5K will take place at Silver Lake Recreational Area, located approximately eight miles west of TCC along State Road 20. The race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
The Eagles are competing for the first time since running in their inaugural event - the Cougar XC Challenge on August 26. Tallahassee finished third in the event while Samantha Reily finished inside the top ten, establishing the school record in the 5K with a time of 23:27.31.
While Saturday's 5K is a community event, there will be a race inside the race - Tallahassee will be competing against Florida State University's "B" squad.
