#TCCXC: Eagles post strong showing in finale

ALBANY, Ga. (November 18, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College's cross country team closed its season on Saturday by participating in the half marathon at Barney's Run for Warriors in Albany, Ga. 

The Eagles carried seven runners to the event, all of whom were joined at the start line by head coach Gary Droze, who posted the top overall time in the 10K, finishing in 37:58.1. 

Four Tallahassee runners claimed top honors in different age group categories in the half marathon, including Travis Parks, who was the top male runner overall. He ran the 13.1 mile race in 1:28.13.1, establishing the Eagles' school record in the event. 

Joshua Guest was the top male, ages 15-19, and ran a 1:38.20:8. He and Parks were the top two male finishers overall. 

As for the ladies, Olnick Duverge was the top runner in the age 20-24 category while Meagan Giddens paced the 15-19 age group. 

Duverge (1:54:03.4) and Giddens (1:55:27.2) place third and fourth, respectively, in the women's race while teammates Dorcas Jepleting (1:56.33.3) and Rachel Williams (1:57.55.7) were sixth and seventh, respectively. 

Alexis McElroy was the fifth Tallahassee female running on Saturday but was officially credited with a DNF.
