#TCCXC: Printiss tops 2Y runners at VSU Border Clash

VALDOSTA, Ga. (September 6, 2019) – Sophomore Genevieve Printiss was the top two-year female runner at Friday's VSU Border Clash. 

Printiss ran a PR of 20:59.7 on the 5K course at Freedom Park, good for 25th place overall. Teammate Kendall Ward finished 33rd in a time of 21:48.0 and Arionne McCall, making her collegiate debut, posted a time of 33:57.0 to finish 77th. 

With only three runners dressed, the Tallahassee women were not eligible for team scoring on Friday, however, help is on the way. Five additional runners are expected to debut at next Friday's TCC Eagle Invite. 

Meanwhile, the Tallahassee men finished ninth out of 11 teams. 

For the second straight week, the Eagles were paced by freshman Daniel Randolph, who crossed the stripe in 34th place in a time of 26:32.5. 

Sophomore Dalton Gray was the only team member who had run the 7.25K course previously. His time of 29:47.9 was good for 65th overall. 

Keshawn Nelson and Austin Erbaio were next, placing 73rd and 74th, respectively, with times of 31:51.6 and 32:08.6, respectively. 

Lord Wyrick completed the scoring for Tallahassee, finishing 84th in a time of 36:15.2 while Jaywaun Nubin was next in a time of 36:58.3. 

Next Friday's race will take place at Apalachee Regional Park, beginning with the women's 5K at 5 p.m. followed by the men's 8K at 5:30 p.m.
