#TCCXC closes season at NJCAA Championships

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (November 9, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College completed its fourth season of cross country at Saturday's NJCAA Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.

This marked the Eagles' first trip to the NJCAA meet since their inaugural season in 2016.

The men's 8K, with 343 entries, ran first on Saturday and, despite running in altitude of more than 5,300 feet, freshman Austin Erbaio delivered a breakout performance. The freshman from Cape Coral, Fla., lowered his PR by more than two minutes, finishing in a time of 30:35, tops among the Eagles.

Sophomore Dalton Gray was next across the finish line for Tallahassee in a time of 30:39. Freshman Keshawn Nelson was the third Eagle to finish, running a 31:34, 40 seconds faster than his previous best time.

Freshmen Rodolph Adonis (32:09) and Daniel Randolph (33:44) completed the scoring for Tallahassee. Freshman Jaywaun posted a PR of 34:11.

As a team, Tallahassee finished 44th overall.

While the women were not entered for team scoring, sophomores Genevieve Printiss and Kendall Ward ran as individual entries in the 290-runnrer field.

Printiss, as she has been all season, led the way with a time of 20:31. She finished 67th overall, which placed her inside the Top 25 percent of runners nationwide. After finishing third at the FCSAA Championships two weeks ago, she finished ahead of state champion Olivia D'Angelo (Pasco-Hernando State College) on Saturday and was the second fastest runner from Region 8.

Ward posted a time of 21:40, good for 138th overall.
