Eagles win second straight

DOUGLAS, Ga. (February 18, 2020) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team won its second straight game on Tuesday, defeating South Georgia State College, 11-1. 

The Eagles are now 9-6 on the season. 

Jude Ard (3-2), the third of four Tallahassee pitchers on Tuesday, picked up the win in relief. He followed starter Matt Cooper (4.1 IP) and Zane Stephens (1.2) with 2.1 innings of work. He allowed three hits, one run and two walks while striking out four. 

Corey Yawn recorded the final two outs of the game. 

Stan King led the Eagles' 12-hit attack, going 3-for-5 with two RBI. Julian Barcelo was 2-for-2 and knocked in three runs. Andrew Fernandez was 2-for-4, scored twice and drove in a pair. 

Tallahassee will host Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) Community College for a three-game series beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.
