DOTHAN, Ala. (February 8, 2020) – Tallahassee Community College's softball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday at the Visit Dothan Invitational hosted by Chipola College.
Tallahassee fell to Walters (Tenn.) State Community College, 11-2, in Saturday's first game.
The Senators scored five runs in the first and four more in the second to grab a quick 9-0 lead. They added two more in the third and led 11-0.
Tallahassee got on the board in the fourth with a pair of runs to finish the game one scoring.
Later on Saturday, the Eagles faced Pearl River (Miss.) Community College and fell 13-4.
Again, Tallahassee faced an early deficit, allowing three runs in the bottom of the first.
The Eagles answered with two runs in the second to cut Pearl River's lead to 3-2.
A two-run homer in the third extended the Wildcats' lead to 5-2 and a solo shot in the fourth made it 6-2.
Tallahassee got a run back in the bottom of the fourth but Pearl River answered with two runs in the fifth for an 8-3 lead.
Tallahassee (1-6) will host Andrew (Ga.) College in its home opener at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
