Fifty-six student-athletes earn 3.0+ GPA during fall semester

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 22, 2017) - During the recently completed fall semester, 56 of Tallahassee Community College's student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

Among the 56 student-athletes earning at least a 3.0 GPA, 14 posted a 4.0 GPA, and of those, ten were named to the President's List. Three others earned Presidential Merit Recognition for their success in developmental courses. 

Fifteen student-athletes posted a GPA between 3.50 and 3.99, and 13 were named to the Dean's List. Three others earned Merit Recognition for their success in developmental courses. 

In addition to the individual accomplishments, five of the Eagles' six teams – baseball, men's basketball, softball, women's basketball and women's cross country – delivered a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall term. 

Softball claimed team-high honors with a 3.29 GPA followed closely by men's basketball (3.23 GPA). 

The following student-athletes were named to the President's List (4.0 GPA): Lily Adams, softball; Kyle Benson, baseball; Brandie Callaway, softball; D'kota Cassady, softball; Lynnsey Cranmer, women's basketball; Keith Lyle, baseball; Callie Paine, softball; Justin Sorokowski, baseball; Hanna Stapleton, softball; Cole Vann, baseball. 

The following student-athletes were named to the Dean's List (3.5-3.99 GPA): Jake Bogosian, baseball; Corey Douglas, men's basketball; Bamba Jaye, men's basketball; Tyler Lehrmann, baseball; Ashley Maxwell, women's cross country; Sidney Mathis, softball; Mason Miller, baseball; Ismay Poot, softball; Brandon Reitz, baseball; Billy Schopp, baseball; Christian Swiney, men's basketball; Rachel Williams, women's cross country/half marathon; Vladimir Zavala, baseball. 

The following student-athletes were named to the Honor's List (3.0-3.49 GPA): Nakiah Black, women's basketball; Olnick Duverge, women's cross country/half marathon; C.J. Fisher, men's basketball; Leon Freeman-Daniels, men's basketball; Onyx Freeman-Henderson, women's basketball; Meagan Giddens, women's cross country/half marathon; Aliyah Guilliam, softball; Krystal Haynes, softball; Jake Kinney, baseball; Cory Labsan, baseball; Samantha Malik, softball; Savana Osterbye, women's cross country; Trey Polewski, baseball; Travis Parks, men's cross country; Alex Stobert, baseball; Jaycee Thomas, softball; Javien Williams, men's basketball; Jacob Winston, men's basketball. 

The following student-athletes received Presidential Merit Recognition (students who are fulfilling developmental course requirements and complete a minimum of six hours with a 4.0 GPA): Mari Hill, women's basketball; Aliyah Lawson, women's basketball; Taylor Lomack, baseball. 

The following student-athletes received Merit Recognition (students who are fulfilling developmental course requirements and complete a minimum of six hours with a 3.0-3.99 GPA): Chris Agbo, men's basketball; Sam Mack, men's basketball; Ayanna Mazyck, women's basketball; Jamyra McChristine, women's basketball; Alex Mills, baseball; JaQuan Morris, men's basketball; Victoria Pearce, women's basketball; Juliunn Redmond, women's basketball; Soukaina Tracy, women's basketball.
