#TCCXC: Men, women earn Scholar All-America honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 15, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's cross country teams have been lauded for their academic achievements by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association. 

Both the men and women earned Academic All-Scholar Team honors while six runners were named Scholar All-America. 

Both teams had three individual honorees, based on achieving a minimum 3.40 GPA during the Fall 2018 term. 

Team awards are based on the top five individual academic performers and must yield a minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA. 

Freshman Genevieve Printiss was the top female performer, posting a 4.0 fall GPA, followed by fellow freshman Kendall Ward (3.75) and second-year runner Mia Wiederkehr (3.41). Along with Rachel Williams and Dorcas Jepleting, the team posted a 3.30 GPA, good for 19th nationally. 

Leading the way for the men was freshman runner Gannon Hundley, who had a 3.81 GPA. He was followed by fellow freshmen Brandon Flagler (3.60) and Dalton Gray (3.50). Along with Simon Hodgson and Andrew McMillian, the team posted a 3.37 GPA, good for 15th nationally.
