TCC announces update to home athletic event protocols

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 24, 2021) – Tallahassee Community College has announced the following updates to protocols on fan attendance for on-campus athletic events.

The new protocols will go into effect Thursday, February 25.

Baseball/Softball

General admission spectators will be allowed at Eagle Field and the TCC Softball Complex, utilizing every other row of bleachers in the grandstands. Available seats will be marked off, adhering to social distancing guidelines, unless a family unit is seated together. 

As an alternative, individual chairs may be set up either beyond the bullpen areas or behind the outfield fencing but should be done with family groups or in a manner that promotes social distancing.   

In either case, spectators should have a mask or face covering available for use when social distancing is not possible.  

Congregating with players and/or coaches before, during and after games is discouraged and general admission spectators should exit the facility as soon as the event is over.  

College coaches, pro scouts and credentialed media are still allowed to attend, per the guidelines released January 11. 

Concessions may choose to be available, but it will be bottled/canned drinks and pre-packaged items only. 

Basketball 

Each Tallahassee student-athlete and coach will be allotted up to two guests per game. 

Fifty general admission seats will be available to TCC students, faculty and staff on a first-come basis. Tickets must be claimed through an online reservation process. 

No other general admission spectators will be allowed. 

All spectators will be admitted free of charge to lessen close contact. 

All spectators must adhere to a non-contact temperature check at the door. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4F or higher will not be allowed to enter the facility.

Per College protocols and in the interest of safety for all spectators and participants, a mask or face covering is required at all times once indoors. 

All spectators will sit in bleachers on the west side of the facility, opposite the team benches, and utilizing every other row of seating. Available seats will be marked off, adhering to social distancing guidelines, unless sitting with your family unit. 

Due to the men's and women's doubleheader format of Panhandle Conference play, reserved seating will be marked off for these participants.

College coaches, pro scouts and credentialed media are still allowed to attend, following current guidelines. 

Concessions will not be available, but vending machines will be stocked and operational. 

Off-campus events 

Any events, such as track and field, held off-campus will default to the protocols of the host site.
