Eagle women hold at No. 7, men fall out of FCSAA poll

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 4, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College’s women’s basketball team remained at No. 7 in this week’s FCSAA Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll, released on Tuesday. 

The Eagles, with 61 points in the voting, sit 17 points behind No. 6 St. Petersburg College and 16 points ahead of No. 8 Hillsborough Community College. 

Panhandle Conference rivals Chipola College and Northwest Florida State College remained No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Palm Beach State College and Gulf Coast State College swapped spots and are now No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, while Florida State College at Jacksonville remained No. 5. 

No. 9 Pensacola State College and No. 10 Santa Fe College round out the poll. 

On the men’s side, Tallahassee dropped out of the poll for the first time this season after spending last week at No. 10. 

Chipola and Northwest Florida State are tied for No. 1 followed by the College of Central Florida, Daytona State College, Gulf Coast State, Eastern Florida State College, Broward College, Pensacola State, Santa Fe and Miami Dade College.
