TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 19, 2014) – Tallahassee Community College will open its fall baseball season on Friday with a pair of games at the annual Chipola College Tournament. 

The Eagles will take on Alabama Southern Community College and host Chipola. 

Coming off back-to-back 40-win seasons, Tallahassee was poised to return a strong nucleus of players in 2015. That number dropped into single digits after five rising sophomores signed with Division I schools during the summer: P Logan Elliot (Mississippi State), P Colin Strall (Louisiana State), 1B Quincy Nieporte (Florida State University), 3B Ricky Negron (Auburn), P Will Thompson (Auburn). 

As a result, the fall season will be crucial for head coach Mike McLeod and his staff, as they evaluate talent and decide who will make the Eagles' 26-man roster for the spring. 

Following Friday's doubleheader in Marianna, Tallahassee will open its fall home schedule with games against the Fort Caroline Indians and Coastal Prospects, September 27-28. 

Tallahassee will close the fall season by hosting its traditional TCC Eagle Round Robin on Friday and Saturday, October 31 and November 1.
