NWF State eliminates Tallahassee from postseason race

NICEVILLE, Fla. (April 23, 2015) - Tallahassee Community College's bid for a third straight postseason berth ended on Thursday evening with an 11-1 loss at Northwest Florida State College.

Tallahassee (28-20) dropped to 6-12 in Panhandle Conference play, two games behind Gulf Coast State College (8-10). With two games remaining for both teams, the Eagles can still pull even with the Commodores in the league standings, however, Gulf Coast State owns the head-to-head tie-breaker and would claim the PC's Wild Card berth.

Despite Thursday's loss, the Eagles won the season series, 3-2, with the Raiders, who will advance to the FCSAA State Tournament as the PC Runners-up.

Tallahassee will close its home schedule at 5 p.m. Friday against arch-rival Chipola College. Prior to the game, the Eagles will recognize its sophomore class, who will be playing their final game at Eagle Field.

Head coach Mike McLeod, whose 25th season at the College, will come to a conclusion on Saturday, will also be recognized during pregame ceremonies.
