#TCCBaseball beats Andrew in final PC tune-up

CUTHBERT, Ga. (March 10, 2016) – Five different players had multi-hit games for NJCAA Region 8 No. 3 Tallahassee Community College in a 15-3 win over Andrew (Ga.) College on Thursday in the Eagles' final non-conference game. 

Tallahassee will take a 26-6 record in Saturday's Panhandle Conference opener at Eagle Field against Pensacola State College. 

Both Deyvid Silva and Josh Nothdorft went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs. Mac Wilson was 2-for-4, scored three runs and drove in one. Kyle Cavanaugh was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Ethan Crout was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. 

Tallahassee pounded out 16 hits in the victory.

Leading just 3-2, the Eagles added a run in the fifth. An inning later, the bats came to life. 

Tallahassee batted around in the sixth, sending ten men to the plate. Cavanaugh started the scoring with a single to plate Crout, and Wilson scored on a sac-fly by Silva. Three batters later, Bret Maxwell drew a bases-loaded walk to score Cavanaugh.

After the Tigers' second pitching change of the inning, Nothdorft greeted reliever Levi Knight with a single to shallow right-center, scoring Tyler Kinard and Kyle Taddeo.

Tallahassee added two runs in the seventh then put the game away with a four-run eighth.

Another bases-loaded walk brought home the first run of the inning. Cavanaugh singled home a pair of runs and Myron Mebane was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to complete the scoring.

Thomas Nicoll (3-0), the second of four Tallahassee pitchers, picked up the win. He allowed only one hit in 2.1 shutout innings in relief of starter Felix Dieguez.

Saturday's game with Pensacola State begins at 2 p.m.
