PANAMA CITY, Fla. (March 28, 2016) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team dropped game one of its Panhandle Conference series with Gulf Coast State College on Monday evening, losing 8-4 at Bill Frazier Field.

Tallahassee's losing streak is now at four games, as the Eagles fell to 2-5 in PC play and 28-11 overall.

After falling behind 2-0, Tallahassee battled back and grabbed the lead with a three-run fourth. The lead was short-lived, however, as the host Commodores put up three runs of their own in the bottom half to grab a 5-3 lead.

The Eagles got a run back in the fifth and the score remained 5-4 until the bottom of the eighth when Gulf Coast State plated three insurance runs to all but put the game away.

Zach Featherstone was 1-for-4 with a home run. Myron Mebane was 2-for-4.

Skylar Arias took the loss for Tallahassee.

Game two of the series will be at Eagle Field at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
