#TCCBaseball: Eagles sweep past Thomas JV

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (February 28, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team ran its win streak to four games on Tuesday, sweeping a doubleheader against Thomas (Ga.) University's JV squad.

The Eagles won by the scores of 12-2 and 7-3 to even the score with the Night Hawks, who came to Tallahassee and swept a doubleheader on February 20.

Tallahassee (11-10) also moved back above the .500 mark with the wins.

In the opener, Alex Stobert (2-1) picked up the complete-game victory in the Eagles' 12-2 win.

Stobert received plenty of offensive support, led by Cole Vann's 4-for-4, four-RBI effort. Nick Blasucci also hit a two-run homer.

In the nightcap, Octavio Marin (2-1) picked up the win and Jake Hunkiar recorded his first career save in the 7-3 win.

Jack Hartman was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Tallahassee will open a seven-game home stand at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday against IMG Academy.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Sunday's doubleheader vs. Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College has been cancelled. The teams will play a single game at 6 p.m. Saturday as part of a day-night doubleheader with East Georgia State College.

The Tallahassee-East Georgia State game will begin, as scheduled, at 1 p.m.
