#TCCBaseball: Chipola sweeps DH from Eagles

MARIANNA, Fla. (March 11, 2017) – Chipola College scored five runs in its final at-bat for a 9-7 win over Tallahassee Community College in game two of Saturday's Panhandle Conference doubleheader.

The Indians picked up a 16-1, five-inning win in game one.

In game two, however, Tallahassee scored first and had leads of 2-0 and 3-2 before Chipola tied things for a second time with a run in the bottom of the fourth.

With the game tied at 3-all, the Eagles scored four times in the top of the fifth, thanks to doubles from Nick Blasucci and Tucker Rayburn and Aaron Haughton's single.

But Chipola got one run back in the bottom of the fifth then scored five times in the bottom of the sixth. After tying the game at seven, Brody Wofford singled off Malik Barrington to score what proved to be the winning run.

Haughton also homered earlier in the game for Tallahassee.

In Saturday's first game, the Indians jumped out to a 14-0 lead after two innings and never looked back.

Tallahassee will open a four-game series with Gulf Coast State College at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Eagle Field.
