#TCCBaseball: Eagles take series opener at Pensacola State

PENSACOLA, Fla. (March 21, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College defeated Pensacola State College, 10-5, on Tuesday in game one of the team's four-game series. 

With the win, Tallahassee (18-17) improved to 3-6 in Panhandle Conference play, just one half game of idle Gulf Coast State College for third place in the league standings. 

The teams will continue the series with another game in Pensacola at 5 p.m. eastern on Thursday. 

Octavio Marin (3-1) got the win with 2.2 innings in relief of starter Alex Stobert. Brooks Buckler allowed one earned run and struck out four over the final four innings to notch his first save. 

Tanner Thomas led a big day for the Eagles' bats, going 5-for-6 with two doubles and a home run. Jordan Curtis was 4-for-4 with two doubles. Nick Blasucci and Myron Mebane both went 2-for-5 and homered.
