#TCCBaseball: Raiders take game two to even series

NICEVILLE, Fla. (April 6, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College suffered an 11-3 loss at Northwest Florida State College on Thursday.

Tallahassee (21-19) fell to 6-8 in Panhandle Conference play but maintained its two-game lead over fourth-place Gulf Coast State College (4-10), thanks to Pensacola State College's 9-8 win over the Commodores on Thursday.

The Raiders scored two runs in their first at-bat but Tallahassee scored single runs in the second, third and fourth innings to grab a 3-2 lead.

Northwest Florida State tied the game in the home half of the fourth then took the lead for good with three runs in the fifth.

The Raiders added three more in the sixth and two in the seventh to end the game via the mercy rule.

The teams will complete the four-game series with a doubleheader at Eagle Field on Saturday. Game one begins at 1 p.m.
