#TCCBaseball takes two from Pasco

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 27, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team swept a doubleheader from Pasco-Hernando State College on Saturday, winning by the scores of 13-6 and 4-1.

Tallahassee took the weekend series two games to one after the Bobcats won the series and season opener on Friday.

Cole Vann's two home runs sparked the Eagles' offense in the opener.

Tallahassee seemingly had total control of game one after racing to a 7-0 lead through one inning. The Bobcats, however, put three runs on the board in the second and trailed only 8-5 through 3.5 innings.

The Eagles scored single runs in the fourth and fifth then put the game away with three runs in the sixth.

Billy Schopp picked up the win for Tallahassee.

Pitching was more dominant for both sides in game two, which Tallahassee won, 4-1.

The game went to the bottom of the fifth tied at one, but the Eagles plated what proved to be the winning run and added a couple of insurance runs in the sixth.

Logan Lacey was the winning pitcher for Tallahassee.

The Eagles will hit the road on Monday for a 3 p.m. game at Santa Fe College.
