#TCCBaseball: Chipola takes game two vs. Eagles
MARIANNA, Fla. (March 8, 2018) – Chipola College defeated Tallahassee Community College, 4-2, on Thursday evening to take game two of the team's four-game series.
Chipola won the series opener, 9-1, on Wednesday.
After spotting the Indians a 1-0 lead, Tallahassee tied the game in the second on Trey Polewski's single to shallow center.
The game remained 1-1 into the fifth when Chipola scored two runs to take a 3-1 lead.
Tallahassee scored a run in the sixth on Cole Vann's sac-fly, but the Indians got the run back in the bottom half.
The Eagles managed just three hits against Phillip Sanderson, who went eight innings. Jared Howell pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.
Brandon Reitz took the loss for Tallahassee, despite striking out eight in just 5.1 innings.
The teams will close their series with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eagle Field.
