#TCCBaseball: Vikings roll in Palatka

PALATKA, Fla. (February 28, 2019) – St. Johns River State College hit four home runs en route to a 9-1 victory over Tallahassee Community College on Thursday evening.

The Eagles are 12-8 heading into the final week before the Panhandle Conference opener on March 7. 

Francis Villaman and Riley Walsh hit two home runs each for the Vikings. 

St. Johns River State led 5-0 before Tallahassee got on the board in the fifth. 

Taylor Lomack singled home Cameron Wright to cut into the Vikings' lead but that turned out to be the Eagles' lone run. St. Johns River State got the run back in the sixth and scored three more in the eighth. 

Tanner Martin (1-1) took the loss for Tallahassee. 

The Eagles open a five-game homestand at 2 p.m. Saturday against South Georgia State College.
