#TCCBaseball: Chipola completes four-game sweep

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 12, 2019) – Chipola College completed a four-game series sweep over Tallahassee Community College with an 11-1 win at Eagle Field on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles are now 15-12 on the season, 0-4 in Panhandle Conference play.

After a scoreless first inning, Chipola sent ten men to the plate in the second to knock out Tallahassee starter and losing pitcher Logan Lacey (1-1). By the time the inning was over, the Indians had a 6-0 lead.

Four runs in the fifth put Chipola in position to end the game via the mercy rule but the Eagles extended the game with a run in the bottom half.

A pair of one-out walks put a runner in scoring position for Taylor Lomack, whose single scored Cameron Wright

Chipola got the run back in the sixth and held the Eagles scoreless in the bottom half to end the game.

Lomack went 2-for-3. Alex Ray was 2-for-2.

Tallahassee will step back out of conference for a doubleheader on Thursday when it welcomes the Edward Waters College JV. Game one will begin at 3 p.m.
