#TCCBaseball drops fourth straight

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (April 24, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's baseball team dropped its fourth straight game on Wednesday, falling to the Gulf Coast State College Commodores, 5-2.

Tallahassee is now 28-21 overall, 9-13 in Panhandle Conference play, heading into its final two games of the season.

The Commodores' Hunter Milam silenced the Eagles' bats, allowing just two hits through seven innings. Tallahassee broke up Milam's shutout bid in the eighth.

Singles by Cameron Wright, Trent Jeffcoat and Ridge Abinsay resulted in a run, but the Eagles still trailed 5-1.

Tallahassee added another run in the ninth. Jeff Athey led off the inning with a double and scored when left fielder Justin Kelley misplayed Tyler Lala's single.

Gulf Coast State built its lead with three runs in the third and two more in the fifth, all off Tallahassee starter Chase Forester (5-2).

Tallahassee travels to Pensacola State College for Friday's 4 p.m. game. The teams will close the 2019 season at Eagle Field on Saturday at 2 p.m.
