TALLAHASSEE, FL (February 26th, 2022) – The Eagles welcomed the Chattahoochee Valley Community College Pirates to Eagle Field this weekend for a three-game series. After taking two of three, Tallahassee moved to 14-5 on the season.

Tallahassee took game one on Friday night, winning 11-4. Ethan Firoved got the start and picked up his team-high fourth win of the season, allowing two runs on six innings pitched, striking out six.

Going into the bottom of the sixth, the Eagles trailed 2-1. But five-run innings in both the sixth and seventh gave them an 11-4 lead. David Strager came in to pitch the final three innings of the contest, recording his first save of the season.

In the game, Ethan Krizen and Brett Gwinn each tallied their first home runs of the season.

Game two went to the Pirates after they took a 5-0 lead in the top of the second. The Eagles scored four in the bottom half of the second but could not complete the comeback. In that second inning, Andrew Fernandez hit his second home run of the season.
