Josh Pigozzo named Region 8 Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, FL (March 29th, 2022) – Josh Pigozzo (So., OF) was named Region 8 Player of the Week by the FCSAA earlier today. Last week, Pigozzo had a .600 batting average, driving in 10 runs over four games against the Gulf Coast State Commodores.
Pigozzo has been a force in the middle of the Eagles' lineup this season, with a .398 batting average, leading the team in RBI (32), doubles (13), triples (4), and stolen bases (15). He is seventh in Region 8 in batting average and sixth in stolen bases on the season.
His play led the Eagles to three wins on the week, moving them into third place in the Panhandle Conference, just one game out of first place.
Tallahassee travels to Northwest Florida State this week for games on Tuesday and Thursday and return home for a doubleheader against the Raiders on Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 and both games will be streamed here.
