Ethan Firoved named FCSAA Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, FL (April 12th, 2022) – Ethan Firoved (Fr., LHP) was named an FCSAA Player of the Week, following his complete game shutout against Pensacola State on Saturday, April 9th. In that game Firoved threw seven innings, allowing just three hits, no runs, striking out seven, and walking none. He earned his eighth win of the season.
The Eagles won that game 1-0 and went on to win the second game of that doubleheader to bring them within a game of first place in the Panhandle Conference.
As of April 12th, Firoved is tied for first in NJCAA Region VIII in wins (8), third in strikeouts (78), eighth in ERA (2.78), and tenth in innings pitched (58.1). Firoved leads Tallahassee in each of those categories.
Firoved is the second Eagle to be named an FCSAA Player of the Week, with Josh Pigozzo being recognized on March 29th.
The Eagles travel to Marianna for a game against Chipola on Wednesday, April 13th and return home to take on Gulf Coast State on Monday, April 18th.
