TCC places 31 on Panhandle Conference honor roll

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 12, 2012) – Tallahassee Community College placed 31 students on the Panhandle Conference's All-Academic Team for the 2011-12 academic year.

In order to be eligible, students must attain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The PC All-Academic Team recognizes participants in five sanctioned sports – men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball – as well as cross country and cheerleading.

Tallahassee's all-academic contingent was led by 14 members of the Eagles' baseball team. Cheerleading had seven honorees, followed by softball with six. Men's basketball and women's basketball had two members each.

The honorees include a trio of Panhandle Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipients: Ashley Alexander (women's basketball), Megan Oster (softball) and Graham Saiko (baseball).
