TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 25, 2016) – Tallahassee Community College's men's basketball team heads to arch-rival Chipola College on Tuesday evening looking to rebound from a last-second, heartbreaking loss at Pensacola State College on Saturday.

Tuesday's game tips at 8:30 p.m. and follows women's action, which is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. start. Both games can be seen on www.ustream.tv/channel/chipolacollege

Saturday's 65-64 loss to Pensacola State was especially tough because the Eagles had a 13-point, first half lead and appeared on the verge of turning the game into a rout. But foul trouble intervened, the Pirates pulled to within two at the half and stayed just close enough throughout the second half to steal the game with an 8-1 run over the final 3:19, capped by Hassani Gravett's jumper from the top of the key with five seconds left.

As a result, Tallahassee (4-2) fell two games back in the loss column of Northwest Florida State College (5-0) in the Panhandle Conference standings. More importantly, the Eagles' lead over third-place Gulf Coast State College (3-3) was trimmed to one game – with a second straight road game looming on Tuesday – heading into the second half of the league schedule.

And while Tallahassee has delivered a perfect 9-0 record at home, the Eagles have struggled to a 6-9 mark in games away from the Bill Hebrock Eagledome – 3-4 in true road games.

Meanwhile, the Eagle women will look to win back-to-back games for the first time in more than a month. Tallahassee defeated Fort Benning (Ga.) Military Academy and Bishop (Ala.) State Community College on December 12 and 15, respectively.

When Tallahassee opened PC play with a win over Pensacola State on January 2, it snapped a three-game losing streak. Saturday's 73-59 triumph over the Pirates broke a four-game skid and gave the Eagles (2-4) sole possession of fourth place in the PC standings, just one-half game behind third place Northwest Florida State (2-3).

With a win on Tuesday, the Eagles would move within a half-game of second-place Chipola (3-2).
