#TCCBasketball: Eagle men fall at NWF State

NICEVILLE, Fla. (February 4, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College's men's basketball team fell to Northwest Florida State College, 84-77, on Saturday evening in Panhandle Conference action. 

Tallahassee is now 22-4 overall, 5-3 in PC play while the Raiders (21-2) improved to 7-0 in league play. 

Despite the loss, the Eagles maintained sole possesion of second place in the league standings, thanks to Pensacola State College's 73-72 win over Chipola College (3-4 PC). The Indians host Northwest Florida State on Tuesday. 

Tallahassee led for the first 15 minutes of the game, including a nine-point advantage (30-21) with 5:35 left in the first half. The Raiders erased that with 9-0 run in less than two minutes, but the Eagles regained the momentum and took a 45-41 lead to the locker room. 

Northwest Florida State outscored the Eagles in the second half, 43-32, and took the lead for good on Jared Wilson-Frame's basket with 9:26 left. 

Trailing by six, Jacob Winston's three-pointer brought Tallahassee to within three, 80-77, with 41 seconds remaining, but the Raiders iced the game with four consecutive free throws. 

Kiair Crouch paced Tallahassee with 25 points. Ronald Bell came off the bench to record the double-double, 21 points and 10 rebounds. 

Tallahassee will return to action on February 11 when it travels to Pensacola State College.
