TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 27, 2017) - Tallahassee Community College remains perfect on the season following a 90-55 victory over visiting Albany (Ga.) Technical College.

Tallahassee went on a 16-4 run late in the first half en route to a 39-21 halftime lead.

Jacob Winston scored 12 of his game-high 19 points in the opening half.

Head coach Mark White spoke about the stand-out performance from the 6'6 sophomore.

"It was good to see Jacob make shots tonight. Jacob has been playing very, very well for us," said White. "And why I say he's been playing well is because he's been playing hard. He's been defending, rebounding, and tonight, he made shots and we know that he can make shots. It was good to see him do that."

Tallahassee got off to a quick start in the second half. A layup by Winston with 13 minutes left capped an 11-0 run to give the Eagles a 21-point lead.

With 4:50 left in the game, Trevor Lewis made a three-pointer to put Tallahassee up 41 points (86-45), its largest lead of the game. He finished with seven points.

A big factor in the victory was the defense by Tallahassee. The Eagles limited Albany Tech to just 32.8% shooting and 16.7% from beyond-the-arc.

Additionally, Tallahassee had 34 points off turnovers and was credited with 13 steals. Leon Freeman-Daniels had five of those steals while logging a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

"The thing that we emphasize so much is that as you see, we're a very skilled team," added White. "Everybody we got, they're skilled...We'll just continue to try to find simple things that are going to be good for us."

C.J. Fisher added four points and 10 assists for Tallahassee.

The 7-0 Eagles will face Hillsborough Community College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. from the Bill Hebrock Eagledome. Tallahassee needed overtime to defeat Hillsborough 89-88 in the teams' only prior meeting this season on November 20.
