#TCCBasketball: Eagle men fall at the buzzer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (December 13, 2017) – Travon Broadway's three-pointer at the buzzer gave St. Petersburg College a 72-71 win over Tallahassee Community College on Wednesday afternoon in men's basketball action.

After a 10-0 start, the Eagles have dropped three of four to fall to 11-3.

Tallahassee trailed 39-31 at the half but, despite having just eight available players, battled back and found itself up three points, 71-68, in the closing seconds.

The Eagles elected to foul with 10 seconds remaining, and Canaan Bartley made the first of two free throws to pull the Titans within two. He missed the second, but Glenn Miller snuck in for the offensive rebound and later found Broadway in the corner, whose shot hit nothing but net as the horn sounded.

Broadway finished with 13 points.

Both Quentin Jackson and Leon Freeman-Daniels posted double-doubles for the Eagles. Jackson had 12 points and 12 rebounds; Freeman-Daniels, 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Corey Douglas led the way with 18 points.

Jacob Winston scored 11 points.

NOTE: Thursday's scheduled home game against Middle Georgia Prep Academy has been cancelled. The Eagles will return to action on Thursday, December 28 when they host the Tallahassee Democrat Holiday Classic.
