Bio

Phillipe Lilavois, who has both played and coached within the NJCAA, is entering his seventh season of collegiate coaching and first at Tallahassee Community College.

Lilavois has experience at the Junior College, Division I and Division II levels and joined the Eagles' staff following a one-year stint as a graduate assistant at Ole Miss. While with the Rebels, Lilavois assisted in player development, on-campus recruiting visits and opponent scouting reports. Under head coach Andy Kennedy, the all-time winningest coach at Ole Miss, the Rebels made the 2015 NCAA tournament, their second appearance in three years, and defeated BYU in the first round.

Prior to Ole Miss, Lilavois coached two seasons at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. In the school's only two years as an NCAA Division II program, the War Hawks posted a combined 31-25 record.

His first coaching stop was at Jacksonville (Texas) College where the program won a combined 60 games in three years and made back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA Region XIV semifinals.

Lilavois played two seasons at Southeast (Neb.) Community College, where he earned academic all-conference honors. He transferred to Texas Tech University and served as a manager for the men's basketball program under legendary coach Bob Knight and son, Pat. Lilavois was part of the Red Raiders' 2006-07 NCAA tournament team and was on the bench when the elder Knight passed Dean Smith's total of 879 wins which, at the time, was the most by a Division I men's basketball coach.

A native of Plano, Texas, Phillipe is single and resides in Tallahassee.
