TIFTON, Fla. (March 7, 2013) – Tallahassee Community College split a doubleheader at Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College on Thursday evening in NJCAA softball action.
Tallahassee dropped a 4-3 decision in the opener but answered with a 4-2 win in the nightcap to salvage the split and remain two games over .500 at 12-10.
In the opener, the Fillies won in their final at-bat, courtesy of a walk-off home run off Tallahassee's Krysta Hoani.
The Eagles managed just four hits and committed four defensive errors.
Bianca Gutierrez went 1-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Ashley Dobson went the distance in the circle in game two, allowing five hits and striking out four.
Cherise McEnery went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer. Krista Garcia was 1-for-3 with a triple.
Tallahassee will face Darton (Ga.) State College in a home-and-home series on Saturday and Sunday, the latter at the TCC Softball Complex beginning at 1 p.m.
