NICEVILLE, Fla. (March 28, 2013) - Northwest Florida State College overcame a four-run deficit en route to an 11-6 over Tallahassee Community College in game one of Thursday's Panhandle Conference softball doubleheader.
Northwest Florida State completed the sweep with a 13-0 win over the Eagles in the nightcap.
In game one, the Eagles got eight hits, including a home run from Alexis Huss, but it wasn't enough to fend off the Raiders, who scored nine runs in the bottom of the fourth to erase Tallahassee's 5-1 lead.
Brittany Wright took the game one loss for Tallahassee.
Huss was 1-for-4 with the home run and two RBI. Marina Cobbs was 2-for-4, as was Kacey Mattos, who also drove in two runs.
In game two, Northwest Florida State handed Tallahassee a 13-0 loss.
Krysta Hoani took the loss in the circle for the Eagles.
Offensively, Huss was 1-for-2 and Bianca Gutierrez was 1-for-1.
Tallahassee (17-19, 1-5 PC) returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Chipola College for a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
