TCC’s Patterson named All-State

VERO BEACH, Fla. (April 30, 2015) – Tallahassee Community College softball standout Danielle Patterson was named second-team all-state by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) on Thursday evening.

The announcement was made during ceremonies on the eve of the 2015 FCSAA State Softball Tournament in Vero Beach, Fla.

Patterson, a sophomore from Lawrenceville, Ga., anchored the Eagles from her second base position while leading the team with a .382 batting average.  She has played in 42 games this season with 15 RBIs and also had 15 stolen bases.  Known for her ability to get on base, Patterson has accounted for 34 runs for the Eagles this season.

Patterson was previously named first-team all-Panhandle Conference.

She will lead Tallahassee into postseason play on Friday at noon when it takes on nationally-ranked College of Central Florida in opening round action at the FCSAA Tournament.
