#TCCSoftball takes pair from ABAC

TIFTON, Ga. (March 8, 2016) - Tallahassee Community College's softball team swept a doubleheader from Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College on Tuesday, winning by the scores of 10-6 and 3-1.

Tallahassee's record now stands at 12-10 heading into Monday's visit from Andrew (Ga.) College, the Eagles' final games before Panhandle Conference play begins March 17.

In game one, Tallahassee spotted ABAC a 3-0 lead after an inning and trailed 3-1 heading to the fifth. That's when the Eagles exploded for six runs then added three more in the sixth for a 10-4 lead.

The Fillies made things interesting in the seventh, scoring a couple of runs, but couldn't completely overcome stranding 20 base runners.

Game two was more of a pitchers' duel, as the game remained scoreless into the fourth.

Tallahassee plated two runs in the top half, and ABAC answered with a run of its own in the bottom half. The Eagles got the run back in the top of the seventh.
